SYNOPSIS

Ginny is about to turn 32. It’s a year she’s been thinking about for a long time. Sixteen years ago she crossed paths with a psychic who made some key predictions about her thirty-second year…

Three bad things: A heartbreak, a loss of independence, and a death.

Three good things: A life-changing trip, reconnecting with someone, and meeting her soulmate.

The issue is that Ginny is due to get married in a month… but it’s all nonsense, obviously. But when some of those pesky predictions start coming true, she starts to wonder what might happen next…

MY REVIEW

Whether you believe in fortune tellers or not, you are sure to enjoy this book in which Ginny was given six predictions, when she was only 16, for her 32nd birthday year. Three negative which thankfully happen first, then we move on to the three positive. Ginny is not sure she believes, but her friend Myfanwy is very into fortune tellers, crystals etc and excitedly tries to persuade her the events happening in her life are from the list.

The author covers so many issues in an important but not at all depressing way. Family dynamics. Friendship. Romances and the heartbreak which goes with them ending. Death of a loved one. School bullying. And very importantly, the signs women should be aware of which may lead to a heart attack.

Although Ginny does have her life problems, it is written in a light hearted way and Ginny keeps her sense of humour throughout with plenty of laugh out loud comments. She’s a strong woman but slightly under the thumb of her celebrity mother, and just trying to escape and make her own way in life.

I loved the close friendships between Ginny and her pals and I loved the support they gave each other. Well written full of life characters I could really relate to.

I was so hoping for a happy ending for Ginny after the year she had. I’ll not give any spoilers away.

A wonderful heartfelt, entertaining and laugh out loud funny book I would recommend as a great holiday – or any other time of year – read.
